    Windows cannot find the Path "..", Make sure you typed it correctly


    Many applications on my laptop have stopped opening. The amount increased after windows10 1903 update. Whenever I try to open some applications like Microsoft Office, Wamp Server, I get this error message. I went to that path, but all the files are still there. Please help me.

    I cannot open files saved to my desktop - Dialog Box: "Windows cannot find (path)'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

    I have changed the path for all downloaded files (awhile ago) to save automatically to desktop rather than to a downloads folder. Today, however, when trying to access files on my desktop I am receiving this error message "Windows cannot find (path)'. Make
    sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again." Path example is C:\Users\Sarah\Desktop\Flyer 2017.jpg

    Add a path to $PATH?

    what exactly do you need to decipher about that path line? also, what are you installing? perhaps i can help.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.


    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
