  1. Windows cannot recognize USB Speaker-System

My MaiA Sound-System worked fine over USB. The other days I decided to remove Programs I didn’t use. After that Windows ceased to recognize the sound system. I reinstalled the audio drivers for Windows and the specific Pro-Ject Audio Driver from the MaiA Website, as well as Asio4All. But it didn’t help. The system informs that something is plugged in but the connection isn’t established and I am unable to to select external speakers in my sound-settings

  2. USB Speaker-System not recognized by Windows

    Hi AxlRoseAT,

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Community Forums.

Appreciate your efforts to work on this issue.

    1. Is the issue specific to this hardware device?
    2. Does the PC recognize other USB devices on this PC?

I can understand the situation must be difficult for you when the USB device doesn't work as it should.

However, let us follow these methods and check if that helps.

Method A: Plug in the device to an USB 3.0 port (Blue Plug) to check if that helps. If need be then you can also connect the device to an USB 2.0 port (Black Plug) to check if that helps.

Method B: To update Windows manually, follow these steps:

Select the Start button, and then go to Settings > Update & Security
    > Windows Update, and select Check for updates. Once the updates are installed, remember to restart the computer.

Method C: To ensure that the USB device is recognized on the PC, you may want to reinstall the USB controllers:

    1. Select Start, then type Device Manager in the Search box, and then select Device Manager.
    2. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers. Press and hold (or right-click) a device and select Uninstall. Repeat for each device.
    3. Once complete, restart your computer. Your USB controllers will automatically install.
As you have reinstalled the audio drivers, you may want to reinstall the specific audio software for that device and check if that helps.

Method D: Further, suggest you to refer to this article to check if that helps with the USB problems in Windows:

Hope this helps and let us know how it goes.

    Windows cannot recognize USB Speaker-System

USB Speaker-System not recognized by Windows

    Hey there!

I have been kind of frustrated with my new MaiA Sound-System. I bought it and it worked fine over USB. After my computer started to get slower, I decided to deinstall Programs I didnt need. So I went and deleted multiple programs that were old or that i
never saw before and didnt manually install. After I did that, Windows no longer recognized the sound system. I tried reinstalling all the Audio-Drivers for Windows as well as the specific Pro-Ject Audio Driver from the MaiA Website, as well as Asio4All. Still,
no recognition. Although the computer gives me this sound of something being plugged in, and on USB-devices it shows my mouse as well as the system, there is no connection established and it doesnt give me the option to select external speakers in my sound-settings.

Thanks in advance for your help!
