Windows 10: Windows cant open any executables and many system apps are missing.

Recently.... Windows nearly forced me to install a proprietary HP related update to my laptop.... i couldnt stop the update. Once it finished, my laptop doesnt start up.... The HP logo then the Windows logo shows but after windows finishes loading.... nothing happens. The screen just stays blank. I left it like that for hours but nothing happens. So i booted into that menu that lets you boot into safe mode and I clicked on return to previous windows version... because it was the only thing i could do because i didnt have a backup. So after i did everything started working fine but after a while i realized literally no system apps work. Whenever i run any .exe file it says that windows can not find the file specified even though it clearly exists. I wanted to run the windows 10 upgrade assistant with hopes that it might fix the problem but since its an executable i cant run it either. I can boot from a flash drive but i dont want to spend lots of money on a new windows install. What should i do????

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Store, Calendar, and Mail Apps not opening after Windows 10 update

I recently updated to Windows 10 and I found that my Store, Calendar, and Mail Apps are not opening. When I try to open them I get the following message:

This app can't open

There is a problem with this app. Contact your system administrator about repairing or reinstalling it.



I have tried the following but neither worked:

Method 1:

I suggest that you reset the Windows Store cache as per the below mentioned steps and check:

• Press Windows key and R key together to open the Run Window.
• Type wsreset.exe and press Enter key for the command to execute.

Method 2:

You may try to run the in-built Windows Store app troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X..
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on Windows Store apps to run the troubleshooter.

Please help me fix this!

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
