Windows 10: Windows can't seem to find my internet connection

After a recent windows update something went wrong and i had to reset the entire system. After i did that, the computer had some issues, most of which i managed to fix, one of them, however, persists no matter what.

The system doesn't recognize the internet connection. The connection WORKS, and any non-microsoft app works just fine, however no microsoft apps such as xbox, store, even edge can connect to the internet. Windows can't download updates either. The connection says unidentified network, no internet access. I am using an USB wireless adapter. How can i fix this?

Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with Internet connection. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your internet.

Refer these steps:

• Press Windows key + X Key, select
  Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons.
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel
• Run the Internet Connection troubleshooter
