Windows 10: Windows can't verify login credentials when waking up from sleep.

I started having this issue when login into my computer after it went into sleep mode. It won't recognize my pin, which I know is correct. After restarting the computer, it will accept my pin. It is getting really annoying to have to restart my computer every time I need to get into it. It also means that I can't keep any software or browsers open. Anyone know of any fixes?Thanks!

Is there a resolution for login credentials not verified after PC comes out of sleep mode?

Good afternoon,

I am encountering this issue of my login credentials can not be verified when I wake my PC out of "sleep" mode. I have gone through these steps thus far and am hoping someone has come across a solution instead of needing to do a full system install again. Will also add I need to reboot the PC to regain access.

1. Ran automatic start up repair Came back with an error. According to logs was a bad boot sector
   
2. Booted PC in safe mode to run repairs on the sectors (Successful)
   
3. performed Forceown on the NGC folder(Worked for one or two sleep cycles)
   
4. Uninstalled latest windows updates.(Upon reboot it says installed on todays date) KB5020880 is the update build.

I suggest you to check which devices are configured to wake up the computer from sleep by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start icon and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type the command line below:

Powercfg /devicequery wake_armed

3. Check if the devices (Keyboard, Mouse, Ethernet cable) are listed.

If the system is not going to sleep and going to Hybernate, the only option to wake up is to press the Power button.
