    Windows Catalog Cabs and Windows 10 Build 1511


    Hello all!

    I have a little doubt regarding this, normaly, I would just install a service pack on top of a system, and vuala! System upgraded! Anyway, I have this doubt in Windows 10, I got 1511, upgraded to the latest partches prior to 1607 (AU) build, I'm thinking on upgrading the system manually, installing the cab file available in Windows Catalog. Probably I sound like an idiot but, is this feasible? I can upgrade to 1607 using this cab file manually instead of waiting all day for WU to download the thing? Is there something I should be aware of in this case?

    How to get an older Windows 10 ISO (e.g. build 1511)

    Build 1511 is available for download from the Windows Update Catalog. You can find build 1511 from Microsoft Update Catalog.
    You can click download next to the version you wish to download. You want to choose one of the 2 Dynamic Updates for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3207294) depending if you have a 32-bit for a 64-bit system.

    Problem solved by this method MUI language CAB file - install in Windows 10

    Windows Catalog Cabs and Windows 10 Build 1511

    Well... had the time to test in a VM... in short, the cab instalation fails...
    The only methods I see is using the Upgrade tool or the ISO, which is my best bet as I don't have to download anything else to upgrade.

    I set this as solved, thanks anyway Windows Catalog Cabs and Windows 10 Build 1511 :p
