Windows 10: Windows changed default font to 8514oem

So this happened a while ago after an update but I've only just got around to trying to fix it. One day after an update, I noticed the text on my computer had all been changed to this old, ugly font 8514oem in place of the standard Windows font, which I think was segoe UII've downloaded Segoe UI again in case the files were deleted in the update but it hasn't made a difference. On all of my programs, despite changing font settings on e.g. firefox, everything is still shown to me in 8514oem.I also can't delete the font from my computer. I've tried resetting font settings to default, I've down

Windows add font 8514oem when I change windows DPI to 125%. Why?

So I did restore the default Windows Font

And windows really "hide" 8514oem font.

But It still don't answer why it is visible only when I have DPI 125% and it isn't when I have DPI 100%

btw I have fresh windows 10 installation in virtual machine

font name is 8514oem

And It show up when I change windows DPI to 125%.

Why windows add this font? Is it bug?

You need to sign out and in again after you change DPI

 

How to change font size in Windows 10 and set them to default?

As your concern is about changing the font size, do let us know the following to assist you better:

• Are you referring to font size in Windows operating system/ with in the Windows Live Mail?
• Have you installed any fonts on your device?

If you are referring to font size in Windows operating system, try the below and check if it helps.

Step 1: Steps to restore the default font settings.

• Press Windows key, type font and select
  Change Font Settings.
• Click on Restore default font settings.
• Sign-out from the current user account and re-sign in and check if it helps.

Step 2: Change the font settings

• Press Windows key, type font and select View fonts installed.
• Click on Change font size in the left pane.
• Under Change the text only, click on the drop down arrow choose the appropriate option and change the size you wish to and click on
  Apply.

If you are referring to Windows Live Mail, I would like to inform that it is by design you cannot change the font settings to default on Windows Live Mail. Instead, you can choose appropriate font size and fonts while typing the mail.
