Windows 10: Windows cleaner, registry cleaner recomendations PLEASE!

I have used Ccleaner and REVO to clean and maintain my Windows environment.

So I am looking for your thoughts and comments as to what you recommend for cleaning Windows and Windows registry. And if you could add why I would really appreciate it. I feel that registry health is key to Windows functions. I chose Ccleaner and REVO after asking a similar question over four years ago. Thanks in advance. Stu

As is commonly known, Windows tweakers, cleaners and registry cleaners are useless. There's no need to use any of them. Windows is totally capable of taking care of its registry by itself.

About only places / sites recommending tweakers and cleaners are the sites selling them, sites of the makers of them. All Windows tweakers and cleaners are like those placebo pills doctors give to the nice old ladies: they do no good nor harm but the ladies believe they got "medicine" and voil , they are cured!

I have got many a slow loading and running computer better by installing and using Ccleaner and the Defraggler from the same company,
They are the only 2 free ones I use on other peoples computers and found they worked ok.
Been using them since Windows XP days

 

The advertisers will make you believe you "must have" a registry cleaner. In actual use the only thing they do is "lighten your wallet".

 

True, and the free ones still don't have any impact when you "clean the registry". Ccleaner is good for other things but I would never use it for it's registry cleaning feature.

 

When reg key is not changed in a while, CCleaner might consider it as obsolete, reading it does not change it.
You could simply add the key to exceptions, but using reg cleaner in a business environment is not recommended.

 

If Registry cleaning was necessary, it would be listed in Administrative Tools somewhere beneath Disk Cleanup (Period!)
