Windows 10: Windows continuously shows 0x80073712 error while installing updates

Windows always shows 0x80073712 error while installing one specific update KB4576478. Please help

Hi,

A few days ago, windows update detected an update and after installing the update 100%, it shows 0x80073712 error. I have also tried to download the update manually from Microsoft Update catalog but the update fails every time. Please help

 

Continually getting error codes 0x8007000d and 0x80073712 on Windows Update

Hi,

On doing updates I get one or both of the error codes for the following updates:

• 2020-05 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64 (KB4552931) -Error 0x80073712
• 2020-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1909 for x64-based Systems (KB4556799) -Error 0x8007000d

I also get error 0x8007000d when trying to reinstall .NET 4.8, however I think that it's trying to install that update.

So far I have tried a clean install of Windows 10, manually installing the updates from the update catalog, and the solution at the end of page 1 on this post: Error Code 0x80073712 | Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1709 for x64-based Systems

Mostly I have been able to continue with these issues but now it seems the May Feature update, as well as some games have updated to the point where these updates are listed as specific fixes.

Any further solutions would be appreciated.

 

Windows Update show error 0x80073712

Hi,

I am continuously getting the 0x80073712 error on windows update. That is happening for a bunch of updates, not only for one, these are the ones that are giving me the error right now:

- KB4512508

- KB4503308

What can I do to fix it?
