Windows 10: Windows Controlled by the Keyboard

Hello, I have a problem that happens to me very often. I don't know why, but a Windows mode I suppose activates and I control my entire PC with the Keyboard. And I'm not talking about Wind+ some key, I'm talking about open a new Google tab with W, speak to Cortana by pressing X, changing desktops with TAB, etc.. That makes impossible to do something like gaming or searching anything on the Internet. The solution I found for this was to literally smash my hand on the keyboard, hopping to press the correct combination of keys and get out of this "mode".


But it's very annoying. Can someone tell me what is going on and how I can disable that mode?

            Did you update the driver for the keyboard?

I would suggest you to follow these steps and try to run the Hardware troubleshooter:

• Press Windows key + X on the keyboard.
• Click on Control panel.
• Type “Troubleshooting” without quotes in the Control panel
  search box.
• Click on Troubleshooting and click on View all.
• Click on Hardware and Devices troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the issue still persists, Uninstall and Reinstall the Keyboard Drivers.

Uninstall the Keyboard Drivers

• 
  Press “Windows Logo” + “X” keys on the keyboard.
  
• 
  Click on “Device Manager” from that list.
  
• 
  Search for the Keyboard from the device list, right click on it and then select “Uninstall”. On the un-installation window, if you have an option: “Delete the driver software for this device” you may select
  that and then remove the corrupted drivers from the computer.
  
• 
  Follow the on-screen instructions to complete it and then restart the computer if prompted.

Windows 10 tablets has a feature to enable and disable the on screen keyboard. We suggest that you disable the on-screen keyboard through the control panel by following the steps below and check if it helps:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• Type Control Panel and select the top most result.
• Type ease of access center in the control panel and open it.
• Click "Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard".
• Make sure that the "Use on-screen keyboard" is unchecked.
