Hi All,I really find Windows Copilot useful and have previously used it on my PC as well! But since a few weeks, I cannot seem to find it in Settings or run it using Win+C.I tried running the microsoft-edge://?ux=copilot&tcp=1&source=taskbar script in Run window and it did work. But I am not going to copy paste that script every time I need copilot.Pl note that I have already used copilot before on my system.Pl share any tips or solutions to help the copilot back on.Edition Windows 11 Home Insider Preview Single Language Version 22H2 Installed on ‎18-‎12-‎23 OS build 23606.1000 Exp

Microsoft announces availability of Copilot Pro subscription

As we kick off a new year, we’re thrilled to see people increasingly using and loving Microsoft Copilot for work and life. Our goal is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more by bringing Copilot, the everyday AI companion, to millions of people around the world. We have reached another milestone in this mission with more than 5 billion chats and more than 5 billion images to date. As Copilot continues to earn preference and usage, we’re receiving valuable feedback on how to improve. Two examples: First, there are a set of Copilot power users like creators, researchers, programmers and others who want more rapid access to the very latest we have to offer. Expanding Copilot for Microsoft 365 to businesses of all sizes While Copilot Pro is our best experience for individuals, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is our best experience for organizations. Copilot for Microsoft 365 became generally available for enterprises in November. As we said earlier this year, 40% of the Fortune 100 participated in our Early Access Program, and since GA for enterprise, customers like Visa, BP, Honda, Pfizer, and partners like Accenture, KPMG and PwC are already using Copilot — which means thousands of people across industries and sectors have started working in new ways, with an AI-powered copilot at their side. Soon, Copilot Pro users will also be able to create their own Copilot GPTs using Copilot GPT Builder. Stay tuned for more on this experience as we get closer to availability.

Copilot mobile app – The Copilot mobile app is now available for Android and iOS. The Copilot app gives you the power of Copilot on the go as your Copilot queries and chats will roam across your phone and PC. The Copilot mobile app includes the same capabilities of Copilot on your PC including access to GPT-4, Dall-E 3 for image creation, and the ability to use images from your phone when chatting with Copilot. Download the app from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

Copilot in the Microsoft 365 mobile app – We’re also adding Copilot to the Microsoft 365 mobile app for Android and iOS for individuals with a Microsoft account. This new feature is rolling out over the next month. Access Copilot right inside the app and easily export the content you create to a Word or PDF document. Microsoft Copilot is now generally available

Since Microsoft Copilot (formerly Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise) launched in preview in February, people around the world have embraced it as their everyday AI companion. It’s been used to generate billions of prompts and responses, helping people be more creative and productive in their lives. We’re excited to keep this momentum going by announcing that Copilot is now generally available and no longer in preview. With general availability, Microsoft Copilot continues to be your everyday AI companion providing AI-powered web chat. Bringing AI to your organization with Copilot Copilot offers access to powerful AI models such as GPT-4 and up-to-date information with cited sources. When eligible users sign in with an eligible work or school account (Microsoft Entra ID), they receive commercial data protection at no additional cost, which means prompts and responses are not saved, Microsoft has no eyes on access, and data is not used to train the underlying large language model (LLM). Copilot helps users tackle everyday tasks such as drafting an email, summarizing PDFs and articles, generating images with DALL-E 3, learning new skills, and getting answers to complex questions. Use Copilot in your organization with confidence With Copilot now generally available, organizations and users can feel even more confident adopting it as part of their daily workflows. Copilot with commercial data protection is now backed by the Universal Commercial License Terms for Online Services to align with other Microsoft commercial online services. These terms include Microsoft’s Customer Copyright Commitment (CCC), which enables customers to take advantage of Microsoft’s Copilot services without worrying about copyright claims. Eligibility Copilot offers commercial data protection at no additional cost when users with eligible Microsoft 365 licenses sign in with their work account. Current eligible licenses include Microsoft 365 E3, E5, Microsoft 365 A3, A5 (faculty only), Microsoft 365 F3, Business Standard, and Business Premium. Microsoft has announced plans to extend availability of Copilot with commercial data protection to all Entra ID users (excluding sovereign government cloud and student users), and timing will be announced at a future date. Renaming and UX changes As previously announced, Bing Chat and Bing Chat Enterprise recently changed to Copilot to make AI-powered web chat more accessible with a simplified user experience at copilot.microsoft.com. This experience is already available today. An updated and renamed user interface for Copilot with commercial data protection on other endpoints is rolling out to customers over time. Bringing Copilot to your organization For organizations with Copilot already enabled, no further action is needed. You can continue to use Copilot as you do today. For help with user adoption, or to help transition users from the old Bing Chat user interface to the new Copilot one, IT admins can use the Copilot adoption kit to educate users with training materials and resources. Ready-to-go email templates can help with your change management. For organizations with rules that do not allow use of preview products, Copilot reaching general availability is now your opportunity to introduce Copilot to your organization.

Copilot coming to Windows 10

Today, we start to roll out Copilot in Windows (in preview) [1] for Windows 10, version 22H2 to Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. Bringing Copilot to Windows 10 [2] enables organizations managing both Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices to continue considering a rollout of Copilot in Windows and provide this powerful productivity experience to more of their workforce. Windows Update: KB5032278 Windows 10 Insider Release Preview Build 19045.3757 (22H2) Why you should try Copilot in Windows People who work with information daily are excited about the capabilities of generative AI to help them discover and create new content. They may already be using generative AI by accessing Microsoft Copilot (previously Bing Chat) or ChatGPT in the browser. Copilot in Windows powers the generative AI experience in managed Windows 10 and 11 PCs. As an IT professional, you want to help your organization be at the forefront of AI, but also hold the bar on protecting corporate data that employees may share with AI models. We are here to help you do both. With Copilot in Windows, you can offer a managed version of Copilot to Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices so employees do not accidentally share confidential or proprietary information. By using Copilot, employees can:

Save time and effort by prompting for information and services in one place by typing prompts in natural language or using their voice.

Explore new possibilities and ideas by generating creative and innovative content that includes both text and images.

Try Copilot in Windows today Copilot in Windows is turned on by default in Windows 11, version 23H2. If you are looking to try Copilot on Windows 10, version 22H2 devices today, you can do so through the Release Preview Channel in the Windows Insider Program for Business. This will help you understand what to expect and make an informed decision about when and how you will roll out Copilot in Windows to your employees. Availability of Copilot in Windows 10 Copilot will begin rolling out to devices running Home and unmanaged [3] Pro editions of Windows 10, version 22H2 in the near term. We will roll out this experience in phases using Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) technology over several months. Devices running Enterprise or Education editions of Windows 10, version 22H2, or managed Pro devices, are not included in this initial rollout. Additionally, users with eligible non-managed devices running Windows 10, version 22H2 who are interested in experiencing Copilot in Windows as soon as possible can choose to do so by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and turning on ”Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” and then selecting Check for updates. Copilot in Windows 10 will be released in preview to select global markets. The initial markets for the Copilot in Windows previews include North America and parts of Asia and South America. We intend to add additional markets over time, aligned with our release policy for Copilot in Windows 11.

How to use Copilot in Windows 10 To use Copilot in Windows 10 (in preview), employees must click the Copilot icon on the taskbar to open a chat window to type queries or requests. Copilot will then respond with relevant information or suggestions that can help achieve the goals the employees are after. They can also use voice to interact with Copilot by clicking on the microphone icon in the chat window. The experience in Windows 10 is similar to the experience released for Windows 11. Tutorial: Add or Remove Copilot Button on Taskbar in Windows 10 In September 2023, we made Copilot in Windows available for Window 11, version 22H2 and then, in October, for version 23H2. Not all Copilot functionality for Windows 11 will initially be available for Windows 10. The core experience of discovering and creating content is the same, but employees will not be able to take actions such as customize preferences and settings or open applications by using simple commands in this initial release. How to manage Copilot in Windows 10 If you need to manage Copilot access in Windows 10 for certain groups in your organization, you can do so by using MDM or Group Policy settings. When you remove access to Copilot, the people in these groups will not be able to use it and the Copilot icon will not appear on the taskbar. Tutorial: Enable or Disable Windows Copilot in Windows 10 and Windows 11 Tutorial | Windows 11 Forum To learn more about how to manage Copilot in Windows, see Manage Copilot in Windows. When you enable Copilot in Windows for all or some of your Windows 10 users, we recommend that you ensure that Copilot with commercial data protection is enabled for the best experience. For guidance on how to do so, see the Copilot documentation. What about Windows 11? We want to make generative AI in Windows broadly available so all organizations and individuals can take advantage of this progress in productivity and creativity. However, Windows 10 will reach end of support on October 14th, 2025. Many organizations have already started or completed their migration to Windows 11. Westpac, one of Australia’s largest financial services institutions, leveraged Windows Autopatch and App Assure when moving its 40,000 employees to Windows 11 to support both IT cost savings and employee accessibility initiatives. The Alabama Appellate Court System transitioned to Windows 11 to stay on the latest and most secure version of Windows, and to prepare for the new era of AI, with the goal of “harnessing the power of AI to discover and create in new ways” and to “integrate AI-driven solutions to enhance search capabilities and facilitate comprehensive legal research.” Moving your employees to Windows 11 brings you the most secure Windows yet, simplified IT management, and a modern user experience, including the full-fledged Copilot integrations. You can heighten your organization’s security and benefit from a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) with Windows 11.
