Windows Core Audio API : How can I access multiple Volume levels of a USB Device

For an audio device Control Software we need to access the different Windows volume levels of our device Speaker level and Microphone level. We are using the Windows Core Audio API and right now we are able to access the Speaker level using a IAudioEndpointVolume. But for the Microphone level, as the control is located in the Speaker window, it becomes a bit tricky and we didn't managed yet.Screenshot of the ControlsWe tried to get a IAudioEndpointVolume out of the Capture device :// Activate Callback for Input device_enumerator->GetDefaultAudioEndpoin

Windows 10 Core Audio API with USB speakers

I purchased Bose companion 5 USB audio speakers which work great in windows 10 except for one area. I have Mixcraft 7 music creation software which works
fine on the default wave audio
settings with the USB speakers. The problem is when I switch to Core Audio Wave RT(real time) to improve latency when recording. Mixcraft says "unable to open your playback device with your
    current setting's"
The Bose speakers adhere to the USB Audio standard, so no manufacturer driver is available or required and the funny thing is it works great with standard "plug in
jack" Analog speakers. Its because its using USB audio that it is having a problem with the Core Real Time Wave Audio API. I talked to Mixcraft tech support and they say
Mixcraft uses the Windows drivers (wave or wave rt) and that the problem is
an issue between the USB speaker and windows core audio driver. Any Ideas?

Low Audio Volume when listening songs

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving this issue. Thank you for providing the detailed information. I understand that you get low audio level while playing songs.

Ideally, the level of audio depends on the type of the audio file that you are playing. However, I would suggest you to try using the Audio Enhancements, which will boost the audio level and help you get a better audio experience. Refer the steps mentioned
    below:

    1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
      Run dialog box.
    2. Type mmsys.cpl and click on
      OK
      .
    3. Under Playback tab, double click on the sound device that you are using.
    4. Click on Enhancements tab.
    5. Select the checkbox for Loudness Equalization.
    6. Click on OK.

If the issue persists, you may want to try updating the Audio drivers and check. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows Logo key + X, and select
      Device Manager.
    2. Expand Sound, Video, and Game Controllers.
    3. Right click on the Audio
      device
      and select Update Driver.

    .

You may also want to check the Audio levels for specific applications in the Volume Mixer. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Right click on the Sound icon on the
      Taskbar.
    2. Select Open Volume Mixer.
    3. Now, adjust the Volume levels for the Applications as per your requirement.

Windows Core Audio API : How can I access multiple Volume levels of a USB Device

No Mic Volume Level Option Even After Updated Audio Driver Downloaded

I know there is many other people that have had this problem and for many the solution that worked was updating the Realtek High Def Audio Driver for their specific OS. So I downloaded version
V6.0.1.7874 directly from razer, and mic volume level it is still not showing up. I mean when I go to sound>playback>speaker>properties>levels the only level that is listed is the speaker output volume. I uninstalled and redownloaded the driver multiple
times, trying it in safe mode multiple times as well, still not showing up.

I find it very important to have the mic volume level option, which controls mic monitoring, so that I get that feedback when speaking into my headset, so I really need a fix for this.

Any Suggestions? Thank you in advance!
