Windows 10: Windows corrupted before one drive complete syncing

I placed a lot of files in onedrive and before they start to sync, I installed windows 10 update that end up damaging my system files , and finally windows 10 need reinstallation,I need to save those files in onedrive and not to lose them.I think if I could open my hard drive in another computer and find those files and move them back to another partition before doing windows installation , it will be saveBut How can I find those files if I open the hard drive in another computer?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

HDD keeps getting corrupted

it sounds like windows is corrupted by a spastic hard drive not reading properly. there could be many causes of this but the only fix you can do is buy a new drive.

i suggest you do a complete format of the entire 160gb drive then partition as desired and install windows fresh.

if that does it then it was just corrupted data but if it still acts up then toss the drive, its screwed

worse case, you just use the 320gb drive for everything.
