Windows 10: Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation

My girlfriend's computer, which is a Lenovo Legion, started an odd cycle over the weekend.


She had the computer turned off, then attempted to turn it on and saw that Automatic Repair launched. Automatic Repair said that it couldn't repair the PC and said that there was more that we could do in Advanced Options. After spending a couple hours fiddling with everything that we could find in Advanced Options and reading a few guides we didn't make any progress. Even when we went into command prompt we couldn't manage to find the problematic file, let alone delete it.


We had a friend who is a CS major take a look at it and he said that it looks like System 32 itself got corrupted because we couldn't find any files in command prompt.


With that we decided to take the computer to Best Buy (where we bought it) to see if they could offer any help. They told us that we should download Windows 10 Media Creation Tool onto a flash drive and re-install windows.


When we tried to boot the computer with the flash drive the track pad stopped working, which was remedied by plugging in a spare mouse we had. Unfortunately, that wasn't the only trouble that we had with this. Everything goes according to what we have read online until Windows Setup gets to the Installing Updates step. The progress bar stops and then eventually a window pops up that says Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of installation. It tells us to restart the computer and try again. After trying several times, after re-downloading Windows 10 Media Creation Tool again onto the flash drive, and after reading multiple guides online we are stumped.


Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Having some problem in my computer, i decided to clean start it again. I was using Windows 10 Professional before on my 64bits computer with 4GB RAM and now i thought that i should go for the Windows Education. Trying to install I came up with this error
when it reached the final stage saying ' Windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase installation. To install Windows, restart the installation. ' i tried several times but the cycle goes on and since i saw another similar question one
the website, i decided to formal all my drives (except the system reserved one). Now, they're formatted already and I am still being hit up with the same message.

I suspect your install media is corrupt.

If you have access to another computer, go to it then download and create another bootable copy using the following instructions:

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
