Windows 10: Windows could not start sql server MSSQLSERVER service on Local Computer 1067

Just using a new laptop with windows 11, and installed Microsoft SQL management studio and I can't connect locally because the service SQL MSSQLSERVER can't be started and gives the error:Windows could not start sql server MSSQLSERVER service on Local Computer.Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.I tried the famous solutions and changed the log on in the service to use Local System account and enabled all protocols in SQL configuration manager but the result is always the same, not working.Can anybody help here?

SQL SERVER (MSSQLSERVER) service does not start after CU14 for SQL Server 2016 SP1

I have recently installed the CU14 for SQL Server 2016 SP1 from the following URL:

KB3177312 - SQL Server 2016 build versions

However, the update was installed with some errors, due to which it was observed that the MSSQLSERVER service could not be started. As a result, I decided to uninstall the update from Control Panel. The update could be uninstalled successfully and the MSSQLSERVER service became functional as before. In order to attain surety of my action, I considered reinstalling the update, but got the same results - inability to start the SQL Serer (MSSQLSERVER) service. This time, the update could not be uninstalled completely even on several attempts, and my SQL Server service remains dysfunctional. Kindly help me get my SQL Server service up and running at the earliest.

Windows Update for SQL Server 2016 Service Pack 1 GDR (KB4019089) Fails.

I am trying to get a security update installed via windows update and the installation fails. It reads:

After much googling I found this page which I believe (but am not sure) relates to my problem:

KB3189709 - FIX: Installation of Cumulative Update 1 for SQL Server 2016 fails on a named instance

It states that to resolve the issue I should install latest sql 2016 server build. I downloaded the latest here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54613

Cumulative Update Package 7 for SQL Server 2016 SP1 - KB4057119 for reference.

But under the installation it fails under that last step "Completed with Errors". It says the 2 features Database Engine Services (MSSQLSERVER) and Reporting Services - Native (MSSQLSERVER) have a status of failed. I am assuming because they are already
installed?
