Windows 10: Windows crash and broken after last update - How to recover windows.old?

Hello there,

I have had quite a nightmare of an evening trying to get windows to work.

The previous evening I had updated the latest windows update. After it had completed my windows shutdown, when I came home the next day and started my pc it got stuck into repair-loop. I tried all the troubleshooting options (system restore, clean instal, the previous version, etc.) the whole lot nothing happened. I even got to see this magic:





After that I also tried all of the suggestions in this:

However, after trying for 5 hours none of those worked either. And when I booted Windows it just said "PC needs repair".

So I had no other option to re-install Windows. When I finally got it set-up I still have Windows.Old in my C:/. Is there any way to revert back to this -prior to that lovely update? Otherwise, I would have lost 3 years worth of installations, settings, programs and more. So very disappointed in the uncertainty and lack of security with windows. It's not a matter of if it will crash, but when and how prepared you are. sad.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
