Windows 10: Windows crash due to "The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load."

Hello, Recently I have been experiencing windows crashes, with the following error showing up in Event Viewer each time:The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load. Device: ROOT\DISPLAY\0000 Status: 0xC0000365A BSOD is not shown, and no mini/dump files are generated, despite that I have the windows "Startup and Recovery" settings configured correctly. I am not certain as to what is causing the issue. All the "normal" and commonly recommeded steps were done DISM, sfc, check for windows update.

WUDFRd Driver Failed to Load

Usually this is a Kernel-Pnp message telling you that WUDFRd failed to load a device.
ex:
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_138A&PID_003D
or
The driver \Driver\WUDFRd failed to load for the device ACPI\HPQ6000\3&b1bfb68&0.

so first thing is to see what device it could not load.

Driver environment:
Windows 10 x64 desktop
I have a wireless Microsoft mouse
I do not have a Microsoft wireless keyboard
I have the associated transceiver that should work for both (if installed)

This problem started when my Microsoft wireless mouse driver was updated to version 1.0.102.0 (dated 3/16/2016).
This driver update also appears to be responsible for a few other device errors as well:









I believe this new driver assumes you have a wireless keyboard (without checking) and just tries to load a driver for it.

My temporary fix is/was to rollback the driver to the previous Microsoft version 10.0.10586.0 (dated 6/21/2006):









Anyone else run across this condition or have a known solution using the latest driver?

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for three devices and wudfrd.dll missing

Hi, i have been experiencing the driver verifier dma violation bsod several times by now in my hp laptop. My event viewer shows me the following warnings and i don't really know if they are related:

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device USB\VID_04F3&PID_0C00\5&22b8dd10&0&7.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device {DD8E82AE-334B-49A2-AEAE-AEB0FD5C40DD}\DetectionVerification\5&2fe66db4&0&0.

The driver \Driver\WudfRd failed to load for the device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_9A03&SUBSYS_87FE103C&REV_01\3&11583659&0&20.

The wudfrd.dll file and the windows drivers foundation are missing.

I alredy tried to delete and autenticate the .dll file without success.

I should also note that I already ran several hardware tests (extensive tests) without finding any error and reinstalled my OS twice without success in fixing my problem.
