Windows 10: Windows crash while downloading files

hello all! recently i've noticed that whenever i download files from the internet or update a game, there is a chance that windows will crash with some error like DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, there hasn't been much consistency with what the error code is so i apologize for not being very precise. i was just hoping someone may be able to analyze what driver is causing these crashes possibly?


i've made previous posts about some other issues that have been plaguing me since i've got my PC, and those were unfortunately chalked up to a bad interaction between some pieces of hardware in my pc. maybe this will also help me identify exactly what part to try and replace, so i thought that it couldnt hurt to reach out one more time. thank you all! attached is a google drive folder with the most recent memory.dmp file, and if any such events occur in the future, i'll be sure to update it so as much information as possible can be used in diagnosing this issue.

I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

 

Finding .IMG or .ISO file in Windows 8.1 Pro download

Hey guys,

In preparation for my new PC I downloaded Windows 8.1 Pro from Dreamspark, and I wanted to burn it to a DVD, so I can install it on the new PC.
However, in the downloaded files I can't find a .IMG or .ISO file anywhere. I understood that the .IMG file is the one you need to burn to the DVD?

Any suggestions?

10 Crashing Randomly and During Updates and File Downloads

I have a Windows 10 PC that I run 24/7. I have Windows Updates disabled through the Group Policy Editor. I still perform updates manually every few days. Windows Defender updates work fine. Other Windows updates cause the PC to crash, no BSOD or anything, it just turns off. I've looked for 1074, 6006, and 6008 event log files to explain why and I haven't been able to find anything.

Other times the computer just randomly crashes and also sometimes when downloading files. The symptom is the same, I check on it and find it powered down or it just shuts off while I'm using it. It boots back up fine and I see no cause listed in the event logs.

I have been through the 3 tests suggested to me on the old thread. SMART looked good, memtest ran for 33 hours for 8 passes with no errors, and prime was run for 3 hours with no errors.

I think the next step was to run V2 Log collector, that data is attached.

Any help is appreciated.
