Windows 10: Windows crashed -No Bitlocker Key for recovery

HiI had recently upgraded to Windows 11. A couple of days ago it crashed and I got a Blue screen on start up. When I tried the Repair tool it asked for a BitLocker Key in order to save/ backup the files stored on the SSD. When I checked my Microsoft account, it says there is no BitLocker Key associated with my account. I do not recall encrypting my system or receiving a prompt, so it must have happened automatically. But am puzzled as to why the key was not saved to my account as this is a personal computer?My question is, is there a way to restart or get Windows working without losing my

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
