Windows 10: Windows crashes and only option is to restart

Last year I had some software compatability issues and thought it had something to do with out of date drivers from the graphics card. These drivers weren't notified by windows and after some research I found some third party software that could update these drivers.

I used Driver Easy to make these updates with other 23 total drive updates.


Since it was taking way too long I went to sleep and left the update running. The thing is that in the morning I had a blue screen, but restarted the computer and 3/4 drivers that were left installed with no issue.


The thing is that after 3 days windows updated and cleaned all previous image restauration points. And only after that I started getting some random pc freezes and blue screens naming critical_process_died and kernel related errors also.


I've tried doing startup repairs and they don't even start because of a file that cannot be located in

D:\windows\system32\logfiles\Srt\SrtTrail.txt.


I think it's important to know I only have the C: drive for system and E: for documents, having nothing related to a D: directory.


I've also tryed rebuilding the bcd and fixboot in cmd but it says the access is denied.

I know I can probably make a hard reset factory mode and lose everything, but I have a ton of 3D software that is optimized and would really take me a long time to setup.


My question is if there is some code or tool I can use to solve this issue and check all the drivers and ecosystem.


I've tried to use windows driver verifier but the pc crashes right at startup and only is able to start in safe mode with the verifier disabled.

Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
What happens?
If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

ive watch my temps and both the cpu and gpu are within normal ranges. when it freezes it simply freezes the image and stops the sound. i must reboot to get back to windows.
