    I am actually just losing it. Yesterday, I tried downloading a game from the Xbox app, but Windows insisted that my internal SSD couldn't handle it for some reason??, so it just wanted to use my external HDD. Of course I didn't let them use my external HDD, why would I? But what did Windows do? Create a "WindowsApps" folder in my HDD that I have no access to. Keep in mind that there is only one account on this computer, and it's me, an admin.I want to delete this folder, but uh oh!This is what happens when I try to open the folder.     C windows installer folder - Delete?

    He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink Windows created a folder, "WindowsApps", in my external HDD that I can't delete Windows 11 ;)
    Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

    Like:
    First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
    Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
    Then type this in command mode as admin
    mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

    Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

    Windows 8 - delete windows folders in another drive

    Just run "cleanmgr.exe" in the run command or in a command prompt and select the drive you want to clean......
