Windows 10: Windows Cumulative update 24H2 won't install

I downloaded the mentioned update but at the time of restarting the laptop, It would not install. In other words, it says pending restart, I click the option of update and restart to finish the installation process and it would not install it. After it turns, on, it says again, pending restart. I have a HP Victus Laptop if that is of any help Thank you

Maybe try with the Windows update mini-tool, found here http://www.techpowerup.com/forums/t...dows-10-automatic-updates-and-spyware.218745/ , thanks to Mussels. it installed perfectly for me last night.

 

Windows updates won't install!

I had the same problem when i repaired my O/S, i forgot the steps on how to fixed it, but it is in the microsoft support forum.

You have to reinstall the windows updater, then restart the updating service.

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.
