Windows 10: Windows Cumulative Update keeps failing

I installed windows 10 this July somehow i think my windows is corrupted DISM, sfc and chkdsk won't fix this issue, I do not want to reinstall Windows I had a picture of Windows PowerShell while it was following this link https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/mem/configmgr/update-management/error-0x800f0831-installing-update All of them don't work i don't use method 2I did chkdsk /f 2 times nothing had changed 3 times sfc /scannow nothing has changed I keep pressing Retry i hate I kept failingI joined the Beta Channel ProgramThats all

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

V 10.0 build 10240

 

Cumulative updates keep failing

Hello!

All cumulative updates fail. I tried everything, and the only way of installing a cumulative update in my PC is to use mediacreationtool, but for some reason it will only let me do it by erasing everything from my PC. So I did it once and everything was
fine, until a new cumulative update came up and once again the issue is back. Now at the moment I have 2 cumulative updates on my windows updates "schedule" that keep failing, and I don't know how to install them other than using mediacreationtool and losing,
once again, all of my data. And, to be fair, I don't want to have to lose all my data AGAIN only for an update to work, and then to have to lose all my data AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN every time a new cumulative update comes out.

Any suggestions?

Oh and explaining more of how the updates fail, well, they download, they "install" and then it requires my pc to reboot. As soon as I reboot my PC and the PC logo comes out, then comes the update logo and says that it did not manage to finish installing
the update and then it restarts again, and after entering windows, windows update tells me the update failed.

Windows Update keeps failing!

Hi,

I had once a similar issue like yours, i.e. not able to update Windows 7. What I did to solve the problems is:

- go to control panel, then to "Troubleshouting" > "System and Security" > "Fix problems with Windows update" > click "Advanced" > choose "Apply repairs automatically".

And Windows will start detecting the issues and will repair "Windows update components". The problems should be fixed now, close the program, restart the PC, and see if the mentioned steps have fixed the problems you mentioned.
