Windows 10: Windows deactivated randomly and is now entirely useless

I randomly began seeing the Activate Windows watermark on my desktop - potentially after a routine update but I do not know for sure. Ever since then, I haven't been able to use windows at all. It takes exponentially longer to even sign in with my pin. Once I finally do get in to my desktop, nothing I click on works. This includes the search bar, the notification center, or the windows start menu. I have no clue where to go from here.

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
