Windows 10: Windows Default App install location

I cannot figure out why it will not let me change the default location where new apps are stored. Formatting is not an option because I have about 600gb of games on that drive already. I've tried to rename the file, I've deleted the file, I've even gone through the registry and removed the file. None of this will work, every time I try to change locations I get the same error message and when i look it has created a new windowapps file in that drive.


If anyone has some knowledge of how to change this setting please let me know.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

• Try to install the updates being shown.

Changing the default storage designation for the Microsoft Windows Store and various apps.

Hi Isaac,

The default storage location for the Windows store and apps is in system location where Windows is stored (This PC-> C drive), if you want to change the default location of the apps then I suggest you to follow the below steps to change the settings
and check if it helps.

• Open Settings and click on the System icon.
• Click on Storage on the left side, on the right side under
  Save locations, select the drive to where you want your
  documents, music, pictures, and/or
  videos to be saved to by default.
• Click/tap on Apply.

The above settings option is available only from the Windows version (10586), I suggest you to check in which version of Windows build in installed on your computer.
