  1. Windows Defender Antimaleware service executable

Antimalware Service Executable is always running and using 100mb of memory. It is not running a scan all day every day however it is constantly using memory. I have tried re-schedule scan from the normal control pannel, setting, and task sheduler, I have disabled every feature of the windows defernder security that can be disabled. I have even done some crazy solutions I found on forums to make 'rule exeptions' in some advanced upon advanced settings windows. I have even tried to claim possession of the windows defender folder to try and deleted it completely. Non of which has worked to even reduce Antimaleware Service Executable memory consumption let along stop it from running. How can I claim back 5% of my RAM?

    :)

  2. Antimaleware Service Executable

    Hi,

The Antimalware Service Executable process is Windows Defender’s background service. It’s responsible for checking files for malware when you access them, performing background system scans to check for malicious software,
installing antivirus definition updates, and anything else a security application needs to do. If you see the Antimalware Service Executable process using a large amount of CPU or disk resources, it’s likely scanning your computer for malware. Like other antivirus
tools, it does a regular background scans of the files on your computer.

In addition to this, you can't disable the Antimalware Service Executable. However, if you have other antivirus program installed on your computer, then Windows Defender will automatically disable itself. This means that it will disable the Antimalware Service
    Executable as well.

Let us know if you have other concerns. Feel free to reach us back.

    Antimaleware Service Executable

    Hello,

Since Defender doesn't seem to work in getting rid of this app/program, the next step that we can suggest is to download Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows. Feel free to check out
this link for more information and steps.

    Let us know the outcome.
