Windows 10: Windows Defender Antimalware/Antivirus Signature Definition Check Status: Remain

Hi.I tried to solve for Windows Defender Antimalware/Antivirus Signature Definition Check by installing the latest mpam-fe.exe on Tableau Server but the issue still haven't been solved yet. I've checked solution by following this website. Last update is since last month on last November.https://www.tenable.com/plugins/nessus/103569Plugin id: 103569

Hi mknic,
I have literally just installed the definition update KB2267602 without any problem. I suggest as a first step checking all the Windows Defender settings to make sure they all have the 'green ticks' in each section.






ps. The only reason the 'Family Options' is not ticked is because I am the only user on my computer.

I also would suggest running the 'Troubleshoot' feature in the Update & Security settings which has a section dealing with update problems.

Thank you for taking time to write a great number of suggestions to overcome the pestering issue. The suggestion that made a lot of sense as soon as I read about remnants of removed programs, that rang a bell. I used the McAfee removal utility form the "List
of anti-malware product removal tools". And it work. As soon as the program remains were removed, the defender definition was installed and now the Windows Defender runs with the lasted definition signatures.
