Windows 10: Windows Defender Critical Events in Reliability Monitor

Am running Windows 11 OEM DVD version 22H2 22621.1778 Retail Version.Has anyone else seen Critical Events with Windows Defender in the Reliability Monitor? I am seeing "Windows Security...Stopped working" and Aggregator Host.exe Stopped working.I have seen these types of events using Insider Previews, BUT since this is a Retail Version non-insider why am I seeing these? Is this a "core" problem that effects all versions of Windows?

Reliability monitor reports computer shut down improperly every day even though it's apparently fine

Just seen on Reliability Monitor that I have a critical event every day when I use 'Shut Down'. The PC shuts down properly with no errors, and boots into Windows with no errors, but Reliability Monitor says "Critical event: Windows was not shut down properly."

What's going on?

If you don't find any error with Cortana, and the issue is only with reliability monitor projecting an error with Cortana. I would then request you to perform DISM and check if the issue is removed.

  Press Windows key, and type CMD in search. Right click on CMD and click on Run as administrator.

    In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command:

    DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
    
• 
  DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
  
• 
  Close the command prompt and restart the PC and check if it works.
  
  
  

Please revert if you face any issues with reliability monitor.

 

Reliability Monitor not displaying daily Windows Defender updates

Mea culpa.

The point of the OP was that the Windows Defender updates ARE being downloaded and applied regularly, but nothing is appearing in the "Reliability Monitor," as it has for years and still does on another Windows 10 computer.

Is there some way of correcting this?

BTW, if you create a desktop shortcut for the "Reliability Monitor," you get a link identified as "Performance Monitor." C:\Windows\System32\perfmon.exe /rel

From Control Panel: Control Panel\System and Security\Security and Maintenance\Reliability Monitor

Hence the confusion is understandable.
