Issue with Windows Defender persistently detecting deleted file as a threat

Hello Windows community,

I'm encountering an issue with Windows Defender on my Windows 11 system and would appreciate some assistance in resolving it.

Problem Description:

A few days ago, I installed a game cheat on my Windows 11 system. Initially, Windows Defender flagged it as a potential threat, but I recognized it as a false positive and allowed it through the Windows Defender interface. The cheat was added to the "allowed threat" section, and I continued using it without any issues.

After some time, I decided to permanently delete the cheat file/folder from my system. After deleting it I removed it from the "allowed threat" section in Windows Defender. However, Windows Defender started repeatedly detecting the file as a threat and also shown in "Protection History" section , even though I had already deleted it.

Specific Issue:

• Windows Defender continues to show the deleted cheat file/folder as a threat.
  
• When prompted to take action, clicking on the action does not resolve the issue.
  
• I've ensured that the cheat file/folder has been permanently deleted from my system, but Windows Defender persists in detecting it as a threat.
  

Additional Information:

• Operating System: Windows 11(latest update by the time of posting)
  
• Antivirus Software: Windows Defender
  
• Actions Taken: I've tried removing the file from the "allowed threat" section in Windows Defender, performing full system scans, clearing temporary files, and manually searching for any remaining traces of the cheat file/folder. Also used premium Norton antivirus to full /deep scan my system , which also showed no threat.

I'm seeking guidance on how to resolve this issue and ensure that Windows Defender no longer detects the deleted cheat file/folder as a threat. Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
