Windows 10: Windows Defender icon no longer on Taskbar after 24h2 update KB5046617

I updated 24H2 with KB5046617 hoping to fix my previously reported icon problem in my system as a reply said it would, but it didn't fix it, and now the Windows Defender icon is no longer on my taskbar! Windows Security at a glance doesn't show any problems. Please fix these problems MS!Thanks, Allan

System Icons on taskbar

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

Defender updates no longer shown

I appreciate your interest on Windows 10.

I suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Type defender in the search box.
• Click on update.
• Check for the date on which defender is being updated.
• If the recent date is mentioned then it will not show in the Automatic Updates.
• Also click on update definition and check if any update is pending.

Sorry but I just want to see Defender updates listed in my update history. Updates for office 2010 etc are shown so why not Windows Defender?
