Windows 10: Windows Defender Not Installed Apparently

So I saw a couple of posts similar to mine, windows defender isn't installed and no matter how I try to open it, it either just does nothing or tells me to get it from the Microsoft store, and of course, I can't install windows defender from ms store. The solutions offered were to write a command in PowerShell, but even that didn't work and instead I got an error, I don't know what to do now, please help, I need Windows Defender to give access to a file for a project I'm working on

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion

Windows update and windows defender issues

We suggest you to avoid installing any cleaner or anti-virus software that may interrupt the function of Windows Defender. Make sure that Windows Defender is always on. To do this follow these steps:

• On the Start menu, type Windows Defender and hit enter.
  
• Click Settings.
  
• Turn Real-time protection on.

We also recommend you to install the latest update for Windows Defender.
