Windows 10: Windows defender not showing quick scan results

Discus and support Windows defender not showing quick scan results in AntiVirus, Firewalls and System Security to solve the problem; My laptop is running weird all of a sudden, a local E drive is coming out of nowhere, lagging when i use setting,quick scan results even says not...     Windows defender not showing quick scan results


    My laptop is running weird all of a sudden, a local E drive is coming out of nowhere, lagging when i use setting,quick scan results even says not accessible

    Windows Defender - Quick Scan

    Windows defender no longer offers a quick scan option.

    My options are:

    • Scan
    • Advanced Scan
    • Full Scan
    • Custom Scan
    • Windows Defender Offline scan
    Whichever option I check, the scan will need to run for hours to complete.

    Is a quick scan available?

    How do I restore this feature?

    Windows Defender Scans

    According to the Event Viewer, a Windows Defender Scan is listed it as "Scan Type: Antimalware." Does that include all threats?

    When I do a manual scan, and then go to see the results, the results aren't there and the Scan history usually only lists an automatic scan done at a previous time, and I have to go tot he event viewer to see it. Is there a tool that will allow me to easily view only scans?

    Also, is a quick scan sufficient? What does a scan of the OS drive do that is different that the quick scan?

    Windows Defender Quick Scan question

    I just did a quick scan on my computer, when it was done in notifications area got message: Windows Defender scanned your PC At 1:42:10 on 2/28/2017 and took action against malicious software, but the windows defender screen said: Scan completed no threats
    detected during this scan. There is nothing listed in the history either, what does this mean?
