Windows 10: Windows Defender now longer working after installing newest update.

So I recently installed these updates.

After installing them I noticed there was a red x over the windows security task bar icon.I clicked on it and this is what it shows for the windows defender menu. I try click restart now, but it loops forever. At one point my internet cut out, and it said no connections available, and I am connected through a wired lan connection. Not sure what to do to fix it, as I have never had this happen after an update before.

Defender updates no longer shown

Sorry but I just want to see Defender updates listed in my update history. Updates for office 2010 etc are shown so why not Windows Defender?

I suggest you to follow the steps below:

• Type defender in the search box.
• Click on update.
• Check for the date on which defender is being updated.
• If the recent date is mentioned then it will not show in the Automatic Updates.
• Also click on update definition and check if any update is pending.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
