Windows 10: Windows Defender quick kill

Hi all. Got a bit of a weird problem. I'm currently playing a game which, for whatever unfathomable reason, displays noticeable glitchy and bugged behaviour when windows defender is on, and runs far more smoothly when I disable it. Obviously this is non ideal, but it is what it is. When I look for advice on how to disable windows defender from the command line, I either find advice that no longer works, or advice for permanently removing it which is not my intent. All I'd like is to find a quicker method than having to go through every single page of the GUI disabling/enabling every relevant setting before and after every time I run the game. Any suggestions?

Windows Defender - Quick Scan

Windows defender no longer offers a quick scan option.

My options are:

• Scan
• Advanced Scan

• Full Scan
• Custom Scan
• Windows Defender Offline scan

Whichever option I check, the scan will need to run for hours to complete.

Is a quick scan available?

How do I restore this feature?

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”
