Windows 10: Windows Defender scam

I received the Windows Defender email stating that I had paid for a subscription for Windows Defender for 5 accounts. As I knew this was a scam because I have a different protector - I first checked my accounts to make sure no one had charged my accounts and then I forwarded the invoice to my husband to call them. When my husband asked who they were the man with an Indian accent got very rude and verbally abusive with my husband. I think they were hoping that I a woman would call and be duped by them. Email came from Verdie Runte DVM or *** Email address is removed for privacy *** out for this scam

I received a scam email concerning Windows Defender Protection this morning which I did not call phone number listed. Just wanted to advise you of this email.

Windows Defender Scam?

That was definitely not any official Microsoft support. That's a so called Tech Support Scam.

Inform your bank, change passwords, remove remote access etc etc.
