Windows 10: Windows Defender showing already deleted files.

Hi! Around 2 months ago I downloaded some miners but quickly realized they weren't really profitable with my current setup, so I deleted them. I do virus scans every so often as you should and it kept picking up tons of already deleted files (nicehashminer, saladio) and its making me quite frustrated. If theres any way to mass allow or mass remove things on Windows Defender or make them go away under "Protection History" that would be great.

All files on Downloads folder gone after updating windows defender

I suggest you to follow the below steps to recover the deleted files in Windows Defender and check if it helps.

• In the search box type as ‘Windows Defender’ and click on it.
• Under the tab ‘History’ select the option ‘Quarantined items’.
• Click on ‘View Details’ and check if any files are available.
• If the files are present then click on the file and click on ‘Restore’.

i shoulda stated, i went through the registries and deleted a bunch of strings as per Erockers thread showing step by step what to delet and from where. thanks mussles ill search the windows update files.

 

Windows 10 Defender - How to make it default to task bar?

Using Windows 10 and currently I am using Defender for anti virus. For whatever reason Windows Defender does not show up in the task bar unless I search for the program or right click and scan a file/folder. Is there a way to force Defender to show up in the task bar at start up?
