Hello there,I wanted to scan the game with windows defender and I got the notification that "Your IT administrator has restricted access to certain areas of this application and the item you tried to access is unavailable. Please contact IT Support for more information."I checked the online solves and I want to say first off that :- I do not have another antivirus,- My account is an administration account,- I tried to log in as a "hidden" admin. by command line "administrator net user / active: yes .." and still got the same problem,- I have updated all the Windows packages,- I tried /sfc s

Restrict user access to certain apps in Windows 10

I have a simple goal, create a local account and limit its rights:

1. Hide & Secure certain folders/partitions.
   
2. Limit access to certain apps.
   

For restricting App access, I've only found some tutorials based on editing the registries. Is this the way to go?

 

System administrator and You Tube restricted mode

1. Are you using a local account or Microsoft account?
   
2. How many user accounts are there on the computer?
   
3. Do you have another administrator account on your computer?
   

I suggest you to refer the following link to Turn Restricted Mode on or off - Computer - YouTube Help for YouTube.

If you are having another administrator account on your PC, you can login to the administrator account and provide administrator access to the user account. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Steps:-

1. Tap on Windows + R on the keyboard.
   
2. Type netplwiz in the run box.
   
3. Under the Users tab, click on the
   user account and click on properties.
   
4. Under Group Membership, select Administrator from the list.
   
5. Click on Apply and OK.
