    Windows Defender smart screen prevented an unrecognised app from starting. How can I...


    I am trying to run software that allows me to connect to my powered speakers so that I can adjust the settings of the speaker and windows defender keeps blocking it. I dont know how to override it.


    Can someone help please? It's the AVE DSP software from the avecorp.com.au site.

    Thank you for responding. Based on the details that you have provided, we'd like to suggest another option for you to disable SmartScreen. Follow these steps:

    • On the Search bar, type Windows Defender Security Center.
    • Open Windows Defender Security Center settings and go to
      App & browser control      .
    • From there, you will see the options available for Windows Defender SmartScreen.
    Hit us back with an update.
