Windows 10: Windows Defender SmartScreen reported my site as unsafe

Hey there, I have been running a site for over a year now and all of a sudden Windows Defender SmartScreen started showing my site as unsafe for my Edge/IE users. I am 100% sure the site has no malware or is unsafe as I am the core developer of the site. The homepage is fine, but it reports the /login and /dashboard pages as unsafe for some reason. I have reported the site as safe via the Feedback multiple times each day, and so did my users however I still have not received any response and this is unfortunately hurting our reputation.Affected URLs:https://suschegg.com/loginhttps://suschegg.c

Privateemail.com reported as unsafe by Windows Defender SmartScreen

I'm not quite with Microsoft but hopefully I can help. Edge does return as this site being unsafe on my end as well, but I can access it just fine in Chrome. Maybe it was so that people reported this as an unsafe site through Windows SmartScreen, but in other
browsers you could access it just fine, their filters don't seem to make this site out as unsafe.

Hope that clears it up a bit.

 

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen reporting a SharePoint Online site is unsafe to SOME users

We are experiencing this for more than two months now.

We are a US-based small business with established services including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Azure Cloud Services, etc with Microsoft.

SharePoint Online site is used to collaborate with our global clients.

Recently some of our clients reported that Microsoft Defender SmartScreen reporting our SharePoint Online site is unsafe. But the same link is working fine for everyone else. We even had people try the same link from the same geographical location and Microsoft Defender SmartScreen is not reported as unsafe.

1. Why Microsoft Defender SmartScreen reports a site as unsafe to only some users? Not to all users?

2. Why Microsoft Defender SmartScreen is NOT smart enough to validate a SharePoint Online site that is also hosted by Microsoft as a SaaS?

3. Why there is no option for a site owner to request Microsoft Defender SmartScreen to evaluate a site and whitelist?

4. Most importantly, when this is reported, Microsoft technician advised the site owner to contact the people who are experiencing this issue to report as "this site doesn’t contain malware threats".

I'm posting this here as we are not getting the necessary support from the Microsoft tech support

Hope someone in the community could have a solution. Or at least someone from Microsoft dev team might provide a solution.

Microsoft Defender SmartScreen checks downloaded files against a list of reported malicious software sites and known unsafe programs and against list of files that are well known and downloaded by many Windows users. If the file you downloaded is on the malicious
list or is not commonly downloaded it will show a warning, advising caution. If you believe that the file is not malicious and you trust the source then you can ignore the warning by clicking "Run anyway".
