Windows 10: Windows Defender stopping my App

My utility exe contains a Clipboard Recorder as a feature. I guess this is why Windows Defender on Windows 10 thinks it is dangerous and stops it without displaying any message box. All settings are in the ON or Warn state, but no error display. My app is signed with an official certificate from SSL.com and all the other 70 virus checkers report it as clean. This didn't occur on Windows 8.1, so it only hits new customers and upgraders.I tried adding the app to the 'Exclusions' list of Defender, either as 'File' and also the whole 'Folder' but Defender just ignores these lists and blocks my a

I would suggest you to open Windows defender and add exclusions and check if it helps. Follow the steps to add exclusions in windows Defender.

  Type Windows defender settings in the search bar and press enter
  
• 
  Under Exclusions click on Add Exclusion

If Windows Defender is stopping you for performing some task and it is important for you then you may disable Windows Defender for some time and then enable it after the completion of the task.

In order to turn off Windows defender you need to perform the steps provided below and see if it helps.

• Press Windows key or click on Start.
• Type Windows Defender in the search box.
• Click on Windows Defender Settings.
• Toggle the "Real-time protection" option to Off. This will disable Windows Defender
  in Windows 10.
• Now try to convert a pdf to a ppt and see the difference.

Windows Defender stops scanning

You can follow these steps to disable Windows Defender from Windows 10:

• Type services in the Cortana search field, then click
  Services.
  
• Locate then right-click Windows Defender Service.
  
• Choose Stop.
  
• Restart your computer.
