    Hello, I searched the complete Internet ;- , but I found no good answer: Why does the task ""C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows Defender\Platform\4.18.2211.5-0\MpCmdRun.exe" Scan -ScheduleJob -ScanTrigger 55 always reports the error 0x80508018. The main problem is the undocumented option "Scantrigger 55". Without this option, the task works. If I change the option to "Scantrigger 50" the task works as well other values 21, 22 .. work as well, So the main question is : What does the undocumented option "Scantrigger 55" exactly do ?Regards Dietmar

    Thanks for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

    This issue might occur if you have set any task scheduler for Windows Defender.

    I suggest you to delete the task for Windows defender and check if it helps.

    Follow the below steps:


    • Search and open Schedule tasks.

    • In the left-hand menu, open the Task Scheduler Library, then select
      Microsoft >Windows >Windows Defender.

    • Double-click Windows Defender Scheduled Scan.

    • Select the Triggers panel, then select Delete.
