Windows 10: Windows Defender: "Threat Found and action taken" Protection History "No recent items" WTF???

I have been getting a notification 2x a day that Windows Defender discovered a threat.

So when I click on the notification, it takes me to Protection History, with no info

But the Current Status/Threats shows 1 threats found

I checked Allowed Threats and also found nothing

Also ran Malwarebytes and found nothing.

So what did Windows Defender find, what action did it take, why is it not logged and what can I do about it?

Windows Defender keeps taking action on nonexistent threats on nonexistent scans

You may turn off some notification options in
the Windows Defender Security Center, section
Virus & threat protection. Click
Virus & threat protection settings,
scroll down and click
Change notification settings, then disable the ones you don't like.

I have solved my problem of dummy popups as described below,
without changing the notification settings.

Again in the Windows Defender Security Center, section
Virus & threat protection, click on Threat history.

Do not be misled by the message of "No threats".
Click on both links of See full history, which may show some items.
For each items click See details to check which file it is, and if
not a threat then click Allow.

After this Defender will calm down, although there will still be
one notification in the Action Center.
If it bothers you, turn it off as described above,
but it might still be useful.

 

Windows Defender found one threat, but won't allow me to take action

My Windows 10 x64 pro is up to date, at build 1809. Every once a while, the defender program will notify me that it has found a threat. But it does not say what exactly is the threat, nor does it allow me to take any action. In addition, the threat history shows empty list.

Windows Defender Reports Malware, Taking Care of it, No Further Action Required, Yet History is Empty

Windows Defender running on Windows 10 Pro x64 pops up a message (lower right corner of screen) that it detected malware, that it is taking care of the threat and that no further action is required. When I open the Defender UI and click on the History tab
and view All detected items, the list is empty.

Isn't this a bug in Defender? Either there was no malware and it should not have reported that there was, or there was malware and it should be in the list of detected items.
