Windows 10: Windows Defender Trojan:O97M/DPlink.A

I scan my computer 2 -3 times a week with Windows Defender Security Centre as well as Malwarebytes and another antivirus program. After noticing I had been logged out of my Google account, which I hadn't done, I decided to run my Windows Defender Scan.....which then picked up 1 threat being Trojan:O97M/DPlink.A


The virus location was C:\Users\(username)\AppData\Local\Packages filepath with the "infected" file being windows.immersivecontrolpanel_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Indexed\Set\en-US\ControlPanel.settingcontent-ms


Is this a legitimate scare I should be worried about and if so, what kind of things would be at risk? I attempted a system restore after the threat was quarantined and completing a second threat free scan, just to be on the safe side, but the restore failed claiming that an antivirus program was preventing the system restore from completing successfully.


I have already run second and third scans with ALL my antivirus programs and none of them, including Windows Defender, are now picking up any threats. But I need to know whether I have cause for concern since I noticed it was strange being logged out of Google.

Trojandownloader: O97M/adnel

Hi,

I used the Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool to scan my computer. The scan results show Trojandownloader O97M/adnel as malicious software detected but not removed.

The Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool did not remove this trojan file. I dont know why.

How do I remove this malicious software?

Windows Defender is not getting rid of the Trojans. Does anyone have suggestions?

Defender locates trojan win32/Dynamer!ac but cant remove it

Thanks for the link. When I run step 1, tdsskiller it does not find the trojan. It looks like this progam is only scanning disk c, defender is locating the trojan on disk d.

Any ideas?
