    Windows defender turned off by group policy, still not working after uninstalling third...


    I tried to open windows defender, but I got "This app is turned off by group policy" dialogue box. I googled for answers and uninstalled third party anti-virus software. Also changed the configuration setting "Turn off Windows Defender" in Group Policy Editor gpedit.msc. I have also seen a solution involving Registry Editor, but I am not sure I can use it. Still facing the same issue, it's frustrating, what should I do now?
