    Windows Defender Update KB2267602 Stuck at 17% Downloaded


    I began to use my SP3 this morning and received a notification that I was to address an issue with Windows Defender. I followed the prompts to update the definitions, after a very brief 9 file scan that also "hung" during the process.

    I am hung at 17% downloaded for Defender Update KB2267602. What can I do to stop the update and allow for all of the other updates that are waiting to download?

    Thank you in advance for any help. It is most appreciated.

    windows update stuck for one day

    Definition Update for Windows Defender

    - KB2267602 (Definition 1.207.3759.0)

    - Downloading updates 0%

    still downloading since 10/‎19/‎2015

    basically windows update is stuck since yesterday

    totally unacceptable !!!!

    Hello sir,the update i mentioned above has got stuck at 9%. i had also tried troubleshooting it ,but still the same problem is occurs.

    It happened when Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.247.96.0) was downloaded then it gets stuck . please help me with this problem

    I think it might be a servers temporary issue. Happened to me with some Defender updates yesterday while using WSUS Offline. Today it was okay.

    Seems plausible to me. Now I am also having trouble with my Gmail hosted email on all my pcs. Ugh.

    My build 10525 which has been running for about 48 hours has no updates yet, KB2267602 started about 2 hours ago and I minimised it and it is still on 0%

    Sorry to say, but that makes me feel better as I am not alone in this craziness. I am inches away from performing a clean install as I performed an update to get to Win10. I had to do a clean install on my PC as it developed some issues from its upgrade.

    I've just checked the upgrade W10's (3) and they have installed the upgrade on 21st.

    I remembered that WD has its own update button and have just got a more up to date set of definitions than "Update and Security" is currently failing to obtain.
