    Hello everyone, I hope you are having a nice day.My problem is Windows Defender, with it using about 200 - 300 MB at times even when my computer is idle, I have tried googling things and have foundno end to this problem.Is there anything I can do about this?Thank you!** I have run an SFC scan, it repaired what it found but the issue was not resolved.

    Hi there,

    I have recently installed Windows 10 version 1809 on my Msi laptop. My pc specs are listed below.

    Processor - Intel Core i5 8300H

    Graphics - Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1050@ 4Gb

    Ram - 8 Gb ddr4 (2666 mhz)

    Os - Windows 10 Home Single Language

    The problem I am facing is with antimalware service executable named process that is running under windows defender and is eating up my ram memory. It uses 300 - 400 mb ram memory during normal usage and occasionly hits more than 700 mb of ram usage . I
    tried many fixes that include excluding msmpng.exe, turning off windows defender amd even tried using regedit. But I can't find fix for my problem. Pls someone help me fix this issue. Thankyou.

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
