Windows 10: Windows Defender's Real Time Protection feature turns off immediately after enabling.

Hello. I recently uninstalled McAfee Antivirus from my PC. I went through all their steps, used their removal tool. For the first couple of weeks, everything was fine. After that, Windows Defender's Real Time Protection feature stopped working. I went into Windows Defender to try and enable it, but whenever I do, the switch just immediately flips back to the Off position. Windows Defender says I have other Antivirus providers, and yet I don't. I've gone through my registry, deleted any keys relating to or containing "McAfee", to no avail. I've tried doing an SFC scan as well as DISM, again, to

I can't turn on Windows Defender Real Time Protection

We appreciate your response. We suggest that you try to turn on Windows Defender Real Time Protection from a Hidden Administrator account. To enable Hidden Administrator, the following are the steps:

• Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin).
• In the command prompt, type in net user administrator /active:yes and press Enter.
• Log out and log back in using the Administrator account.

Windows defender real time protection cant be turned on.

Go to Security and Maintenance, look in 'Security' and see what program is listed under Virus Protection. Windows Defender will not be enabled and functioning properly if there is a program other than Windows Defender listed.
