Windows 10: Windows desktop and taskbar freezing and alt tab/windows tab stops working.

Recently I have been having these freezes when occasionally alt tabbing, where alt tab would no longer open and the task bar would stop soon followed by the desktop, all the tabs and even video games; applications too work fine. Is there anyway to fix this when it occurs? Task manager cannot open and I also have double checked to ensure the keys are functioning, which they are.

i always just use the windows key to get back to the desktop [pops up the start dealy, doesn't need anything to alt+tab to]

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.

I think I was unclear about my problem.

Alt+tab used to work for me -- it worked fine ever since I installed win 10.

Now it just stopped working for some reason, and I don't know how to fix it. The individual alt and tab keys still work fine.
