Windows 10: Windows desktop folders moving sometimes after file downloads or file savings on Desktop

Good day,I sometimes have the problem that my Windows desktop folders user folder, this computer and the recycle bin get rearranged once I download some files to the desktop or I save a file on it...I do not want this behavior. I want the symbols to always remain in that range: 1. Computer, 2. user profile folder, 3. recycle bin 4. all the other files as it used to be under former Windows versions, as far as I can remember...The auto arrange symbol function is disabled on my system, The align to grid function is turned on.How can I achieve to keep this desired order?Thanks for your help!Ud

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.

 

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

 

Desktop files/folders disappeared when I downloaded and saved a printer scanner drivers on desktop

Hi,

I downloaded a xerox printer scanner drivers and changed the save location to desktop. After downloading the scanner drivers to desktop, all prior files and folders on desktop disappeared. I have tried to "show hidden file"s and recover from backup nothing
has worked. I purchased Mcaffe and scanned for possible virus and malware, I also ran the microsoft safety scanner. How can I get these files and folders back on the desktop?
