Hello.I have been a customer of Microsoft for over a decade.I recently updated the Bios firmware of my MSI motherboard.After updating the firmware, I received a message in windows that I needed to activate.I went through the troubleshooter and received the following message: "we weren't able to activate Windows on this device, you can activate by going to the Store and purchasing a genuine copy of Windows."I purchased Windows 10/11 for around $150 after taxes.After the payment went through, I received a message that Windows could not activate due to my version of Windows not being genuine?I th

How to activate Windows 10 Pro version 1607 on a newly purchased workstation with digital license?





Recently I just purchased a new HP workstation c/w Windows 11 Pro activated with a digital license.



Due to the software compatibility issue, I had downgraded the OS to Windows 10 Pro version 1607.



However, I failed to activate the newly formatted Windows 10 Pro version 1607 with the embedded digital license.



Once I try to automatically online activate on the attached screen, it will auto close the "Setting" and after all I am not able to access the "Activation" page anymore.



Tried using the command "slmgr /ato" and reformatted a few times also failed to activate the Windows.



Is there any other step that I have overlooked?



Can someone help to advise? Thank you.
